The Text Recognition feature (also known as OCR β Optical Character Recognition) allows you to extract text from your scanned documents and convert it into editable, shareable text. This is especially useful when you need to copy information from printed documents, invoices, notes, or letters without having to retype everything manually. It helps save time, reduce errors, and streamline your workflow.
To enable this feature of the app and convert your scan into editable text, please follow these steps:
Open the app and either create a new scan or select an existing one.
In the scan view, tap the small rounded icon located in the bottom-right corner of the page.
Wait a few seconds for the text to be recognized. Once complete, a new page will open.
On this page, there are two options available: Copy All, which allows you to copy the recognized text to your clipboard, and Share, which lets you export the text to your device or share it with your contacts.
